There is encouraging news for pro-European advocates: the country will be able to get very close with the European Union.
However, I do not anticipate that this alignment will result in full integration, as seen in cases like Italy or Spain.
Instead, the integration will primarily be economic in nature. Politically, Moldova will retain a distinct status that will involve a degree of independence.
Black Swan Event!
The challenges will not arise from political or military fronts, but rather from economic factors. Unforeseen complexities stemming from European regulations and the broader financial landscape in Europe will impede Moldova's fully integration with the EU. New directives from Brussels will complicate the process of fully integration.
Nonetheless, pro-Europeans will certainly have reasons to celebrate.
